Martin's Field of Dreams

Albuquerque’s local news KRQUE ran a story about one of our very own! This young boy selflessly used his wish to bring joy to others.  Martin Romero was diagnosed with brain cancer at age 13, but he didn’t let it stop him from playing baseball or cheering on his brother at the fields near their house. 

Martin Romero chose to wish for the Make-A-Wish foundation to help improve the baseball fields by his house so families and kids could enjoy baseball on a great field. Sadly, he did succumb to his cancer last year. Their has been a proposal to rename the field after Martin in his honor.
